In this section you will find the fly patterns used by our Deep In Backing (DIB) staff


Fly of the month ORANGE SHRIMP (USK GRUB VARIATION)




This great Atlantic Salmon pattern is tied on a plastic tube to make this fly skate better on the surface. If you prefer this fly in deeper water consider tying it on a brass or aluminum tube.
This will be used on the Aux Rochers River (Québec North Shore) in June

Hook - TUBE FLY HOOK
Tube - Small plastic tube
Thread - black
Tail - Golden pheasant body feather
Rib- Oval gold tinsel
Body - rear half orange floss, front half black floss
Center hackle - golden pheasant body feather
Collar- Golden pheasant body feather
